Evening Dinner Variety Show on Saturday (11-11) at American Foundry



In an effort to show support and appreciation for our local Veterans, the USOswego team will be offering a full breakfast on Saturday, November 11th, at the Community Center of the Oswego Alliance Church. The church is located at 371 Thompson Road in Oswego, which is across from the main entrance to SUNY Oswego on Route 104 West. Breakfast will be served from 7:00 am to 10:00 am.

The breakfast will be free of charge for veterans, as well as children aged 12 and under. Non-veterans will be asked to provide a $7 donation. Veterans will need to present an ID, such as used at the VA, or a copy of their DD-214 as 'proof of service'.

The meal will consist of the following:

Eggs, pancakes, sausage, ham, potatoes, toast, coffee, orange juice, real maple syrup and water

In advance, we would like to thank our breakfast volunteers from RSVP, as well as those volunteering for food preparation from the Oswego Alliance Church.

If you are a vet needing transportation to this breakfast, please call 315-402-6623 the day before (Friday, 11/10) and we will arrange for your transportation if at all possible.

The main objective of the USOswego event is to provide a variety show in the style of past USO shows performed for our fighting troops in remote locations. This year's event will try to touch upon the style of multiple Armed Forces campaigns from the past.

This show with dinner is intended to be free for veterans and be open to attendees 18 years of age and older. 'Proof of service' for veterans to get in free will be a military ID or a DD-214.

The dinner show will be presented on Saturday, November 11th, at the American Foundry located on Route 104 West across from Dunkin Donuts and behind Fajita Grill.

The evening dinner show is scheduled as follows:

Doors open at 5:00, dinner at 6:00, show from 7:00 to 8:00, after-show dance party from 8:00 until 9:00.

Dinner selection will be fresh-carved turkey dinner with dressing with golden raisins, mashed potatoes with onions, cranberry sauce, carrots with orange glaze and salad. Coffee and tea also served.

Cash bar will be available.





There are two ticket selections available for the USOswego events; breakfast, and dinner-show.

Once you select the specific ticket you would like to purchase, you will be redirected to Paypal where you can complete your purchase using either a credit card or a Paypal account. A Paypal account is NOT REQUIRED to pay by credit card.

You will be asked to provide your name, email address, phone number and the number of tickets you'd like to purchase. Once purchased, you can pick up your ticket(s) at the offices at Canal Commons, West First Street, Oswego.

USOswego Dinner Show Ticket




The USOswego Comedy Hour Fundraiser is intended to provide an evening of comedy with the proceeds helping to fund the USOswego Dinner Show. This year's fundraiser will consist of our version of the show "Who's Line Is It Anyway?" followed by the Lip Sync Challenge.

The comedy show "Who's Line Is It Anyway?" will present the comedic talents of Stephanie Johnson, Matt Gordon, Josh Taylor, Justin Polly and Garrett Robinson.

The Lip Sync Challenge will pit Oswego YMCA Director Kerrie Webb against City of Oswego Attorney Kevin Caraccioli.

This Comedy Hour Fundraiser will be free for veterans and be open to attendees 18 years of age and older. 'Proof of service' for veterans to get in free will be a military ID or a DD-214.

The Comedy Hour Fundraiser will be presented on Friday, August 18th, at the American Foundry located on Route 104 West across from Dunkin Donuts and behind Fajita Grill. Doors open at 7:00 and the show goes from 8:00 to 10:00.

Cash bar will be available.

Leila Dean: 

Leila most recently had the pleasure to perform with Theatre du Jour as Trisha in Five Women Wearing the Same Dress. Previous to that she was seen in Our Town as Mrs. Louella Soames and in 9 to 5 as Margaret at CNY Playhouse, as well as T-Rex 2 in Triassic Parq at Rarely Done Productions. Leila was nominated for SALT awards for her portrayal of Inga in Young Frankenstein at Baldwinsville Theater Guild, and Queenie in Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party at CNY Playhouse. Besides acting, she is a violinist and can also be caught playing in pit orchestras for the shows she is not acting in.

Kathy Burke Egloff:

"I'm very happy to return for another USOswego," Burke says. This SALT award winner has been seen on stage with several different theater companies in and around Syracuse.

Lorraine Fenn:

Lorraine is very excited to be joining the USOswego show for a cause close to her heart since her husband Paul served in the NAVY for nine years. Prior to moving to Oswego two and a half years ago and becoming a mother of twin boys, she taught vocal/general for fourteen years. Many thanks to Theatre Du Jour for this opportunity to perform again!

Matthew Gordon:

Matthew Gordon is delighted to be returning to the USOswego show this November. Featured most recently in “Cabaret” with the Syracuse Summer Theatre at the Oncenter, “The Complete History of America: Abridged” with the Baldwinsville Theatre Guild, “Our Town” with The Central New York Playhouse, and “The Eight Reindeer Monologues” with Theatre Du Jour, USOswego gives Matthew the chance to give back to his fellow veterans. Following Adam Driver’s lead, Matthew Gordon (United States Marine turned thespian), works by day to pay the bills; by night, he fervently pursues acting professionally.

Stephanie Johnson:

Stephanie was last seen bringing the feisty Georganne to life in Theatre du jour's production of Five Women Wearing the Same Dress. She has also been a regular on the Oswego Player's stage, taking on a variety of roles including Clarence, in It's a Wonderful Life & The Ghost of Christmas Present in A Christmas Carol. Stephanie spent some time in NYC, where she debuted her performance of the Off-Off Broadway show 'Satan are you out there?' She also performed at various comedy clubs with her improv troupe, including The New York Comedy Club. Stephanie obtained her BA In Acting & Directing from SUNY Oswego. She enjoys silliness, sunshine & kindness.

Rachel Leotta:

"I'm thrilled to be a part of this years USOswego show!" says Leotta. A senior at Oswego High School, Rachel frequently takes part in shows there, though this is her first time performing with USOswego.

Terry LeRoi:

Singer/songwriter Terry LeRoi is pleased to joining USOswego again this year. Fans may remember him from local & regional bands Jolly Roger and Bleed Christine or National Recording Artists Titanium Black (Great Dane Records - produced by legendary Michael Wagener - (Metallica, Ozzy, Queen)) He is currently working on a new project with the famous rock producer Jeff Tomei (Smashing Pumpkins, Matchbox 20). Terry is the president, owner and master goldsmith at LeRoi Fine Jewelry.

Nelson Metz:

A hobby that started in 1998, live theater has become a passion for Nelson. Recent roles include The Lion in Winter with the Oswego Players, Murder at Cafe Noir and Bingo - A Winning Musical for Theatre Du Jour. Nelson has directed a number of plays including Lost in Yonkers, The Director and Don't Dress for Dinner. Love the process. Live the performance.

Sherri Metz:

Active in the theater for over 40 years twenty-five of them with The Oswego Players. She has acted in or directed a show in every one of those years. She recently directed Neil Simon's "Fools" and "Party to a Murder" for Theatre Du Jour. She lives in Oswego with her husband, Nelson, and her cat, Piper. Her day job is a member service representative for Compass Federal Credit Union and Choir Director for the First United Methodist Church of Oswego.

Garrett Robinson:

This proud papa of 5 made his triumphant return to the stage 3 years ago in BTG's "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, since then, he portrayed Lord Savage in BTG's SALT Award winning production of Jekyll and Hyde and was a proud me before the ensemble of Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. He will be playing Charlie Cowell in the 75th-anniversary BTG production of "The Music Man". He is proud to once again perform with USOswego,serving those who served in our great nation's armed forces.

Larry Smith:

He was last seen in CNY Playhouse's production of The Lamerie Project playing multiple roles including the character of Rob Debry. He created the play The Big A (co-written with Liam Fitzpatrick) which had its World Premier reading in November 2015. Larry would like to thank all the veterans who have served our country and thank them for their service.

Josh Taylor:

A local actor from Baldwinsville, NY., he is a three-time SALT award winner for his work onstage and offstage (design). Many thanks to Theatre Du Jour, for this opportunity.

Natasia White:

Natasha is excited to return to USOswego this year! She has worked onstage with several local theater companies including Fulton Community Theater, the Redhouse Arts Center, and Gifford Family Theatre, and she has also worked offstage in NYC with IDEAS, the NY Neo-Futurists, and the NY Innovative Theatre Awards. Natasia is currently a teacher with Peaceful Schools, providing arts and science enrichment for elementary students. Many thanks for the opportunity to be a part of such a meaningful event!

Steven J. York

Steven is a professional Arts and Entertainment Producer and Event MC living and working in Oswego, NY, and the surrounding area. He studied Theatre and Events Management at Florida State University after earning his BFA in Acting and Directing at Marshall University in Huntington, WVa. When Steven isn’t planning or officiating Weddings, MCing special events, or Filming his Documentary “Thick and Peculiar Mist”, he enjoys hiking in the woods with his three dogs and working on the Mystery Machine. Steven would like to thank his wife and best friend, Ola, for her unwavering love and boundless support.
